Does Carpe Money ever see my bank login?
No. Bank connections are powered by Plaid — you sign in at your bank, and your credentials go to your bank, never to us. Access is read-only: nothing can move money.
What exactly do you store?
Linked-bank balances and transactions are fetched live and never stored — they live only on your device. Accounts you enter manually are stored encrypted so they sync across your devices. Only you can read your manual account data.
How do spending alerts work?
Set a limit for any set of accounts or categories over a time span — leave all unchecked to watch every account. We check daily and notify you before you overspend. Emails are sent only once per day or month, depending on your settings.
What happens if I cancel?
Your data belongs to you. Export manual data as CSV any time and linked banks simply stop refreshing.
Which devices does it run on?
iOS, Android, and any modern browser. Your alert rules and encrypted manual accounts stay in sync everywhere you sign in.
